How my best friend screwed me over

This morning started off much like any other morning, okay not really. First off, I slept in to nine - which never happens anymore. My new adult-ish body rejected my teenage impulse to sleep in so late, and gave me a massive slap on the hand in the form of a headache.

What is a girl to do when she's half asleep, mid morning, with a headache? you got it. Coffee. I turned on the Keurig and waited the dreadful two minutes for it to silently heat up. What is going on in there? Once ready, I popped in a  french  freedom roast pod. Waiting. Waiting.

Eureka! Liquid gold.
Only I made it about half way through my first sip and felt worse than ever.
Has this happened to you before? Whats wrong with me? Has coffee turned on me for good?

On the brightside, I made husband and I salad for lunch. Yes, just salad. It's part of his 'real men eat veggies' ploy. Personally, I'm not buying it, and am trying to figure out his angle on this one...

Looks good don't it? It only took about twenty minutes. eaaasyy peasy.

Throw in some spinach, and cooked quinoa (I used Trader Joe's Harvest Grains Blend ).
note: do NOT buy this on amazon! Only doomsday preppers do that... just go to the store. Like normal.

Anyway, slice up a pear, and place the slices along with some whole grapes on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 400°. You'll know they're done when the grapes are kind of raisin-y and the pears are soft. Add some balsamic vinaigrette, and you are good to go.

Random side note: Husband is taking me to Portlandia for the weekend, and I am so excited I have pee'd my pants. Unconventional hair color, piercings and food carts, here we come.
