How to shake the early week blues

I don't know about you, my friends, but its pretty hard to get my motor started Monday morning. After a long beautiful weekend, I want to do nothing more than pout over its end. I usually spend my Monday preparing for another week.

My usual schedule
7:00am - wake up, wish it was Friday morning. (Oh, why can't groundhog day really happen!?)
7:01am - coffee.
8:00am - decide to finally get ready so that curious neighbors won't catch me in my sweatpants.
9:00am - gather and toss in the first load of green-on-greens (expect a future post on this)
eh. I lose track after there. and I'm boring even myself.

Just know that the rest of the day includes that weeks menu planning, grocery shopping, cleaning windows, towels, sheets, floors, etc.
The best part of my Monday? Folding the clothes, while catching up on pretty little liars. It takes me about 40 minutes to fold all the clothes, just enough time to see what A has been up to. Worst part of my Mondays, realizing folding laundry is the highlight.

Do any of you ladies feel me? Does your schedule hit you on Monday like a bag of sweaty socks? eh, eh, see what I did there? I just feel sad, knowing that adventures and debauchery are at least five days away. Its  hard to stay joyful, encouraged and creative when you've got Monday, Tuesday and their mean older brother Wednesday teasing you relentlessly.

So I sought some beauty, here in Wershington to remind myself that life is full of it.
Wershington is how the Wershingtonians say it.

All of these were taken less than a mile from my home. I passed all of this five/six times yesterday collecting dish detergent and running returns. This week may seem like the only thing keeping you from a good time, when in reality its just as beautiful a day as the others.

Enjoy this week my friends, and stop and smell those flowers!!

    2. well considering mother nature loves playing pranks on me and decides to have 80 degree weather one day then frost the next day, I am holding off on planting anything for a couple more weeks. Don't worry, I'll keep you posted whether you want me to or not. =) ha

    1. we sure do! I googled it, because I have no idea what the geography of northern washington looks like, and we live about an hour and a half or two away. So you must live nearby where the tulip festival is, right?

    1. And yes, I'm from California originally. I thought, you'd seen one western state, you'd seen them all. BOY was I wrong. Its stinking beautiful up here! Definitely a bucket list. Although, I'm an oklahoma girl at heart, so I have spent plenty of time in Texas. I enjoy it as well.
