Dear Friends

Today is the day that Husband and I have been looking forward to for quite some time now: vacation time. I've got my Cali henna on, and I'm ready to go ride some boats, eat good food and see the sun.

It is with some reluctance that I say that I've decided to take some time away from the blog on this vacation. I know that if I were to continue with writing it, I'd feel the need to compulsively check my views and comments every 20 minutes - and I need a vacation from that too. The next 7 days are just going to be about me, husband, family, and relaxation.

As I write this post, I feel a freedom already. The freedom to do what I would never let myself do normaly. I'm going to let my email inbox fill up, my blog views to plummet, and my readers to check out.

And you know what, I'm okay with that.
Catch you in a week compadres. I'll have a margarita for you. (or two).
Can't wait to come back and see what ya'll have been up to.

    1. Its funny because I knew that going in to my henna phase, but I didn't think anyone would notice. because its traditional-ish looking, and not a peace sign or something, women often ask me if I just got married. Good news is, my hands & arms are blank.

Enjoyed some awesome time off, thanks!

  10. Have a wonderful vacation!! And go you for checking out, and making it clear at the beginning that you are. I usually do the same but unplanned, and just disappear for about 6 weeks. Soak in that Cali sun!!

    1. Oh the sun was both beautiful and daunting. I am so pleased to be back up in the freezing washington air.

And thanks. Just figured I'd save everybody the effort of checking back to be dissapointed and bored each day. Sometimes I get a little crazy when some of my favorite bloggers do it.

      I needed the vacation.
