Itbritt, on Vacationing

I start this post with a thank you, and the only picture I took while I was on vacation. You were all so wonderfully supportive of my need to take a week off, and for that I am so appreciative. Husband and I had the most joyous, and relaxing vacation we could have asked for. truly.

Since moving out in December, I have already realized that visiting home makes me feel super spoiled. I get all the benefits of home cooked meals, a clean house and good company - with little cost to myself. Essentially,  I get to enjoy being home without having to worry about making the meal, cleaning my room, or finishing chores. I am a guest. This new idea makes me both very happy, and very lazy.

Needless to say, its been difficult to get back up here and get into the swing of things. I am so all over the place as far as cooking, cleaning, and not-watching-hour-long-marathons-of-lost are concerned. I need to get back and find my groove. (*sidenote, I always thought that the "proverbial groove" was an actual dance rhythm, rather than a groove or carving in something mechanical. I choose to stick with blissful ignorance.)

My favorite part of vacationing is the ease of no photography. I don't need to snap this, or that. (Though I should.) Basically the only photo I took of this trip was the one above - of German pancakes one morning. Which is suiting, because a good vacation earns one food pic.

You want the confession of a ashamed photographer? This is the only picture that husband or I took on our honeymoon. An iphone pic of Pizza.

Shameful, I know.
So what have you been up to for the last week and a half?! Spill!

    1. mmmmm amen. You can't have it and eat it too, but you can have a picture and eat it. Kind of the same thing.

  2. That honeymoon pic is hilarious. Must have been a deserving pizza.

I know exactly what you mean about being a guest at home. It's kinda like being a kid all over again to me. Such a reality check when BAM! Back to real life and responsibility.

And I never knew about groove. Thanks for ruining that for me.

    2. Right? It hit me today, and I was all, woah. everything is a lie. Groove isn't groove!?

Yeah, I am so ashamed that a pizza was all I could muster. Lame, so so lame. But I guess we were just busy actually enjoying the honeymoon. It was only three days, too. So that counts as some sort of an excuse, right?

  3. I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time. And don't feel bad about not taking pictures...everyone needs a break from their cameras and the need to capture everything! Welcome back!

  7. Haha, welcome back! Yes, this past week I've been semi-on-vacation and while I did pick up the camera, I notice that sometimes I just really want to enjoy -- can totally relate. It just means you were too into what you were doing. Awesome. :)
