As we're quickly approaching the two year anniversary of my dear Husband joining the Marine Corps, I am filled with many mixed emotions. In these two years, we've survived swearing in, good-byes, boot camp letters, graduation, more schooling, more good-byes, and our first duty station. There have been things missed: birthdays, holidays, family vacations, and our favorite TV shows. But we've gained rank, friends, integrity, responsibility, and tons of fond memories.
When we sat down this time two years ago, and agreed to pursue the Marines, we had no idea what we were in store for. So many highs, and sooo many lows. It's certainly not for everyone - but I wouldn't trade these last two years for anything.
P.S. I'm curious - what does your husband /significant other do for a living?
