"I can spend hours just sitting with you, watching your eyes wander around the room. Your legs kick - kick -kick. Your newborn reflexes have been bringing me great joy this week (as I've now realized they may not stick around much longer). I love the way you clench up and throw your arms - mostly when you feel like you are falling or are surprised by loud noises, but also during cold late night changings. The 'Moro' reflex my baby book calls it. The 'palmar grasping reflex' is cute too, as long as you're grasping for anything but my hair. But the most interesting to me is the 'plantar reflex', which causes you to flare your toes upwards during the occasional foot tickle."
