I heard you stirring this morning, and skulked in to watch you wake. You tossed from side to side and made the cute little groans we've grown to love. After a few minutes you opened your eyes and looked around. To your left: no dad. To your right: no mom. You furrowed your eyebrows as though you could not fathom a world in which this made sense. Your bottom lip began to tremble - your eyes swollen with tears - until you noticed the fan spinning dully above your head. A smile spread across your face. Cheers, for reminding me to enjoy the little things, baby.
